
Dr. Roland
Dr. Roland grew up in Martinez and attended Lakeside High School. After graduating from Lakeside, Dr. Roland moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech. She graduated with high honors and received a B.S. in Microbiology. After her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She graduated with honors and received her doctorate of optometry in 2007.
After graduating, Dr. Roland spent time working in both optometry and ophthalmology practices in Atlanta, GA and Syracuse, NY gaining valuable experience in primary eye care, specialty contact lens fits, and treating eye diseases. When she moved back to the Augusta area, she had the pleasure of working at Broome Family Eye Care for three years. Dr. Roland opened Specs Eye Care in 2014. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association as well as the Georgia Optometric Association.
Dr. Roland provides comprehensive eye examinations for patients ages four and older. She provides a thorough assessment of both the vision and health of your eyes. She is passionate about optometry and maintains the feel of a small, comfortable office, yet invests in the latest technology to enhance her level of patient care. The staff of Specs Eye Care and Dr. Roland strive to provide exceptional patient care and service.
When she is out of the office, Dr. Roland enjoys traveling, fitness and spending time with her family.

Dr. Spencer
Dr. Spencer is a northern Virginia native but calls the CSRA her home for the second time. As an army wife, she has had the privilege of taking care of patients all over the country. She was an honors graduate at the Southern California College of Optometry and a presidential scholar at the Florida A&M University. Dr. Spencer continued her education through residency at a remote hospital within the Navajo Nation in Arizona. There she saw patients from infancy all the way through the geriatric population, specializing in ocular disease and primary eye care.
Dr. Spencer’s training has allowed her the opportunity to serve the military community at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Las Vegas, NV, the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, as well as the Fort Belvoir and Fort Campbell military family communities. She has a variety of practice experiences from hospital based to private practice and enjoys taking care of patients of all ages. Dr. Spencer has enjoyed planting roots in the Augusta area finally and joining the Specs family.
Dr. Spencer provides comprehensive eye examinations for patients ages four and above. Her vast experience allows her to provide a thorough assessment of both the vision and health of your eyes. Dr. Spencer loves educating her patients and has a passion for eye care. She believes that the best eye care comes when doctors and patients communicate well and work together.
Outside of optometry, Dr. Spencer’s passions include photography, travel, fitness, and living a faith filled life with her husband Will and son Eli.
