Dr. Roland grew up in Martinez and attended Lakeside High School. After graduating from Lakeside, Dr. Roland moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech. She graduated with high honors and received a B.S. in Microbiology. After her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. She graduated with honors and received her doctorate of optometry in 2007.
After graduating, Dr. Roland spent time working in both optometry and ophthalmology practices in Atlanta, GA and Syracuse, NY gaining valuable experience in primary eye care, specialty contact lens fits, and treating eye diseases. When she moved back to the Augusta area, she had the pleasure of working at Broome Family Eye Care for three years. She is excited to begin the next chapter of her career as owner of Specs Eye Care. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association as well as the Georgia Optometric Association.
Dr. Roland provides comprehensive eye examinations on patients ages five and older. She is skilled at gas-permeable and soft contact lens fittings and treating eye diseases and infections. She strives to provide the highest level of patient care and service. Dr. Roland provides comprehensive eye examinations on patients ages four and older.
